Ok, now that we got the pinnacle merger out of the way, anyone else have an upgrade time for any of the companies not listed above???

Upgrade times are irrelevant because the snahpshot taken today means it's accurate for only those already on property!

Case in point, one of the reasons I chose Pinnacle was faster movement. Back up to 2007. At that moment, Pinnacle was basically hiring street Captains. You got hired, get 100 hrs in the right seat and then you'd enter upgrade training. Lots of pilots did that. At the time, in 2007, Eagle had almost a 7-9 year upgrade.

Fast forward............

The economy tanked, Pinnacle downgraded and displaced, bought two copanies and merged them. Most junior Pinnacle captain now is around Jan-Feb 2007, barely hanging on. The March 07 Captains got downgraded as a result of the merger and parked Saab fleet. Meanwhile, Eagle got 22 more CRJ-700s, and an arbitrator that allowed 800+ Eagle pilots to flow up. Eagle had tons of movement, and their most junior Captain award has already fallen to a April or May 2007. Now of course the bankruptcy may change things, but still you can see my point. Both Pinnacle and Eagle did a complete 180 from what they were when I joined in 2007.

Eagle has parked ATRs, displaced/downgraded and the current upgrade falls to Dec 2006... don't worry we are not going wings level just yet it's a steep turn and we will continue to circle to 360 :p

For some reason reading-comprehension is not that common around these parts. Let's try this again, what are the CURRENT upgrade times at your company? We all know things change every few months everywhere. It's a simple inquiry that does not require a white paper. Thanks.

What don't you understand? It seems your reading comphrension needs some work. Current upgrade times are irrelevant, because it only affects those already on property. CURRENT upgrade time of 5.5 years affects a pilot hired 5.5 years ago. At Pinnacle Corp, if you get hired today, I wouldn't expect an upgrade for at least 10 years. This accounts for 2017 when Delta starts to a portion of the -200 fleet.

Are you happier with that answer?

Clearly you didn't read the first post, a simple 5.5 years is enough, we all know the realities of the industry, but for the purpose of contrast and comparison time to date (as stated in the first post) it has every bit of relevance.

It's still meaningless. Because once you get hired and don't upgrade at 5.5 yrs, you'll beotch about how you were told your upgrade would have happened by then.

Did you take stats in college? Did you read the first post? Do you understand the concept of historical data contrast and comparison? Are you aware that I've been doing this for over 8 years and I'm not actively looking for employment?

Holy crap, I bet you're a joy to fly with! Learn to read and accept when you're wrong and both your personal and professional life will go a lot easier! For the purpose of this thread the number is relevant.
