I have had 15 and mostly 18 days off a month at Eagle for about 5 months. I was picking up OT and getting paid about 3200/month on first year pay!
I look at my buddys from college, and no one is making even close to what I am, I went to Penn State.
You guys dont realize the US economy sucks, and this country is so in debt that the US dollar is slowly crumbling, just wait till its no longer the worlds reserve currency. That mixed with baby boomers unable to retire, THERE ARE NO JOBS FOR SOMEONE IN THEIR 20s!!!
Being a pilot is great in that regard.

What did you pay for your education? That doesn't sound that good for someone in their early twenties. Everyone I went to college with made at least that. My computer friends were all making at least 50k and some were also getting 100k stock options. What did you make in this last year at Eagle? What are your career progression possibilities looking like?

you need to look at all the options, as a pilot in 5 years you will make 40-50k
as a lawyer, which costs a bit more, you will be making 40-50 for 5-10 years and you actually have to be GOOD at it to make more, not just cruise up the seniority list.
Also as a pilot you get to fly a plane, get 15 days a off a month, and fly a plane for a living.
As a lawyer you get to live in your office and never sleep.

Not true! My brother spent less than a Riddler on his education, and makes almost 500k yearly. He also get to set his own hours, and gets 6 weeks of paid vacation a year, as an attorney!
