If AA wants to maintain a 2 class product in their larger RJ's, they'll be forced to fly the CRJ700 at around 66 seats and EMB175/CRJ900 at 76 seats.

UAL may have unlimited 70 seaters, but that is the seat limit....70. No one has scope that allows 90 seats. That's a fact. ;)

What is DELTAS scope on 86 seat jets. Do not pat yourself on the back because a 90 seat airplane is limited to 86 seats!

DELTA SCOPE DOES NOT ALLOW 86 SEATS!!! I can't type it any louder! Delta scope limits aircraft to 76 seats.

A large RJ is defined by 51-76 seats and a MGTOW of up to 86,000 lbs

Up to 255 large RJs are allowed, of which 153 may be 71-76 seats. Anything over 76 seats IS NOT allowed.

Yep, the -700 does that now and either a -900 or E-175 will do that at exactly 76-seats. AA seeks the greater of 255 or half the domestic fleet. The "gap" then becomes between 76-seats and 126-seats (A319) wheras currently it's between 64-seats and 140 seats. That future smaller gap can be filled by anything rom the 105-seat 737Max down to the 94-seat mixed-class E-190 or possibly a new entrant.

DAL and LCC scope does allow 90 seats at regionals. I mean if you dont want to search the web, then look outside youyr aircraft next time at an airport.

Maybe you should look in their respective contracts. I don't need to search the web, I have my Delta contract available. Some people can't seem to grasp the concept of a seat limit.

Ok you have a 90 seat size airplane, it is configured 12/64, that is 76 seats and some long range, such as JFK DFW. How many of those do you all have?

I already answered that question in an earlier post.

I do not have how many are being flown, but I quickly looked at seat guru, this is what DAL has, in their colors.

CRJ 700, 9/56 65 seats upto 2000 mile range WIFI
CRJ 900, 12/64 76 seats 2000 mile range, WIFI
ERJ 170, 6/64 70 seats, shuttle america
ERJ 175, shuttle/compass, wifi, 12/64, 76 seats

And this is exactly how AMR is shaping the new Eagle pilot contract to be! AMR is seeking 88 seats but knows that it won't get anymore than the airplanes listed above. Those who keep gloating over E-190 are smoking something good, but thanks I don't want any.

So the ones over 76 seats are counted in the 153, the other jets (regardless of range) are counted as other large RJs
