The other rest room is the first door on the right that says flight ops on it inside the SIDA hallway by the Mesaba Ops.

yup. it's been this way at mesaba for years. talk to your cp about getting a sida badge if your not based in dtw. takes a couple hours, but its well worth it. i've never been dtw based and have had one forever.

So, in the spirit of tax day, is volunteering your service at a backrupt airline considered a charitable donation?? Because apparently that's what a lot of us are doing. I may send them an invoice for interest that has accrued on the money I've loaned them.... and unlike the women I choose.... I ain't cheap!!!!

Thanks all for your replies. It was in a really sour mood when I found out the quiet room changed to storage. The whole flight in I was thinking about sleeping there

Yeah, and good luck getting a FA to swipe you in. They've been brainwashed over the years to be SIDA nazis.

It is a slippery slope. In IAH, our quiet room was made from a room that has lockers for employees. So now you have pilots come in, from time to time, to remove items from their lockers. If a stink is made of the locker noise, they will be gone and now we dont have any lockers. Win battle, lose war.

Plus, turning the lights off in a quiet room to sleep is another pont of interest. I dont like going into our quiet room to get away from transient noise, only to open the door to a dark room to pilots and flight attendants using the room as a crash pad. Not saying this is you, but I am always amazed at the confusion between "quiet room" and "turn the lights off to sleep like it is your bedroom" room

Slippery slope..

Its pretty easy to get in that door. I don't have a SIDA and have done so many a time. Won't give details on a public forum, but its pretty much common sense...

The way you're talking about also requires a SIDA to even be in that area. If you get caught by one of detroit's finest you might have some splaining to do. Unless of course you're james bond and go in through the vent ducts.
