I left Colgan in December. They direct deposited a 37.5 hour check on February 1st and another on March 1st. Got wise to it mid way through March. Called me asking for a check. I told them I didn't know how I felt about cutting them a check for $1600 because they're incompetent. They said the legal department would contact me. A month later and I haven't heard a peep. I guess they're busy. However they haven't withdrawled anything from my account.

15-16 years ago an acquaintence left Mesa. He got paid for many months. The tried to give him crap about getting the money back. But he never heard from them after the first phone call. He had heard that they just brushed it under because no one in accounting wanted to get blamed for the over sight.

It is a slippery slope. In IAH, our quiet room was made from a room that has lockers for employees. So now you have pilots come in, from time to time, to remove items from their lockers. If a stink is made of the locker noise, they will be gone and now we dont have any lockers. Win battle, lose war.
Plus, turning the lights off in a quiet room to sleep is another pont of interest. I dont like going into our quiet room to get away from transient noise, only to open the door to a dark room to pilots and flight attendants using the room as a crash pad. Not saying this is you, but I am always amazed at the confusion between "quiet room" and "turn the lights off to sleep like it is your bedroom" room
Slippery slope..

So, yet another email to payroll. A few minutes later, I get a reply:
"Translated......"
I write the sender and ask what "Translated..." means. She responds:
"Your email came over to us in German and I translated it for the group so we can begin working on it. See below."
Amazing, I haven't written a word auf deutsch in 25 years, yet somehow I managed to draft a note, send it, AND (most amazing of all) a payroller figured out what happened and translated.
And my keyboard doesn't even have an umlaut.

That last updated Per Diem file is 3/1/12, it was updated monthly up until then. Has anyone gotten per diem since then?
