Holy over estimation batman!!!

1,200?!?! How does the math on that work even in the worst case??

74 aircraft with a staffing model of 5.5 crews per aircraft = 814 pilots.

And I seriously doubt we're staffed that well. Just my $.02

Let's not forget that Colgan didn't buy the Q's, Pinnacle did. They negotiated the contract for themselves. It's unfortunate for everyone involved.

The current spreadsheet has 591 Colgan pilots and 235 9E 900 pilots. They did say they will be evaluating staffing levels - it sounded like to me they want to run an understaffed model again. It wouldn't surprise me if they furloughed 900. I also imagine between now and December another 200 pilots will leave. That would leave about 1800 pilots. I'm not sure how training/transitioning would work, also how do the new rest rules effect this? Does anyone foresee any extension of the Q and 900 flying (meaning they fly until the end of the year)?

I would take that 700-800 pilots worth of airplanes being lost then hit "+" and insert how many pilots worth of 200's you think we are about to lose. Yeah 1200 sounds about right ://

814 assumes all CRJ-200 stay. In BK, anything goes with Delta and how many 50 seaters they want to park with gas constantly above $105/barrel.
