Don't you think that RAH's current labor issues might cause UAL to shy away? It seems to me that SKW has the money and the relationship with UAL to make it happen.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Hi everyone.

There are only 23 of them but unless you know something I don't, I think that number has stayed pretty constant in the five years I've been here. And not to nitpick but the other 200+ can't take 52 pax plus all bags everytime. Usually they can but if you've ever done Columbus/Milwaukee/etc to Houston on an LR - and more and more that's a daily occurrence - you know it can be a struggle to get 48 or 49 on no matter how creative you get.

I could be wrong about them going away but i thought we sold a few last year. Ive actually been here 6 years and am about to go to upgrade. Ive done MKE and CMH to Houston hundreds of times, i cant recall one single time in 6 years that theyve been weight restricted. In fact we regularly take a full boat and 2 jumps out of MKE. With respect, what are you talking about?

You guys seem to be forgetting that UAL doesn't seem to want the Q. Continental wanted the Q and United inherited it. Now UAL has the opportunity to do away with TP's entirely. I don't see RAH picking up these airframes. The only reason they have the two left from Lynx that they have is due to contractual service into a couple of mountain airports out west that RJ's can't get into. If they could get rid of them today they would.

For anyone that thinks that Pinnacle is going to keep the Q's after working over our contract, don't forget that any wage concessions are going to take time to finalize. With the timeline they've laid out they should be putting out a displacement notice very soon and we will have already turned in airplanes and probably furloughed people long before any wage concessions are put into effect. Going through all that just to turn around and take the airplanes and pilots back seems like a huge waste of effort.

I am fairly sure United has EMB120 in SFO still, under skywest but I could be dated.

What about all the SKW EMB 120 flying for UAL? That TP flying will continue for 4-5 more years.

You've gotten luckier than I have then. Little over three hours of burn plus an alternate for Houston, we hit TS limitations on the LR pretty fast.

Isn't Continental management in charge of the new United?

But you maybe right about them wanting to get rid of it entirely. Heard its a maintenance nightmare

Nope, United was the controlling entity post-merger.

Is the thought of Horizon getting these completely out of the question?
