ditto...so furloughs or not?

My guess is no announcement will be made until they get a clear picture of how much APA will cave on scope.

I hear it's always better to fire people on a Friday. Studies have statistically shown that there's less chance of an incident if you do it at the end of the week.

Only that junior pilots usually fly weekends because they can't hold those days off, so same deal!
...that awkward moment when nobody knows what movie you're quoting :)

Holy ******* I totally forgot about those videos. I came across his stuff years ago when I was in high school, just trying to find airplane stuff online. Somehow I came across a clip of the guy doing stand up at a club, too. What a badass.

Sooooo, I'm confused, or maybe immune to shock caused by airline mang. (I was at Comair for 7yrs) but why is this a surprise? this displacement came out almost a month ago and closed a week or two ago, yet no one really talked about it then. Its not like we didn't know these people were going to move around and that it would be junior people. The displacement said how many it would be.

ya I agree, its not a surprise. Even furloughing the bottom 300 at this point is no surprise. From year start till Nov we are parking about 30 ATRs.

I know, I'm starting to think a lot of people at eagle are playing the "If I don't see it it won't happen", and ignored the displacement when it came out. Now that the results are out, they're saying oh crap that was for real, I should have put in choices for bases and equipment. If not then I have no clue as why the big surprise

i also think the company may have plans for more 70 seat jets and we are holding pilots. Also our management is aware of a pilot shortage, and the up coming FAA changes. They make that very clear over and over again. I would not be surprised if they keep us over staffed.

I'm afraid to touch that, but I tend to agree.

I personally believe we could furlough 100 right now and not cause a staffing problem. I tend to lean that something more is in the works for the time being.
