How many people with ATP mins do you think will be willing to work for Great Lakes or Silver as an FO starting next year? The regionals are already having trouble finding people that will meet the mins by next year. RAH is already offering $5,000 bonuses, Pinnacle is losing a great deal of qualified people that will not come back and are trying to decrease their pilot compensation. They couldn't even fill classes before the bankruptcy; how do you think they will be able to attract new hires in the future? I see Pinnacle having a major staffing issue once normal attrition comes back at the majors.

They won't have much of a staffing problem if all that is left of this place are the Mesaba 900s. That leaves just enough seats for the lifers of the merged companies.

Which is what it looks like will happen. They definitely won't be able to whipsaw then.

Nope, read the Delta TA and lets just say the outlook isn't very positive.

I would say the outlook is absolutely positive if you ever want to move up to a major, but I'm a glass half full kind of guy. This doom and gloom is a real bummer.

So if they have an ATP but got all the time as an instructor, there still limited to getting a job at a regional. Just because they have an ATP means nothing. No shortage the majors are making changes as we speak to fix that. Well at least DL and AMR are.
