At 30 per DAY, we would have ZERO pilots in three months.

Somehow I doubt that.

Just curious, where are they/you going?

Just telling you 30 a day isn't true and frankly absurd. Common sense isn't very common...

Obviously it is going to taper off long term, but a lot of folks leaving up front does make sense.

30 a month is pretty accurate from Jan to Apr. i suspect it has increased significantly after April 1st. I know several junior guys have gone to Skywest, RAH, Air Wisco and some are just going somewhere else (non aviation). Virgin, Jet Blue and misc have taken a few CAs.

Yeah, I get it.

But if we were losing 30 per day, in a week we would be getting critically understaffed (at least on the FO side).

I would not be surprised if they start offering 200% for open time this summer, even with them downsizing due to everyone bailing.

I know for a fact the company had two sets of numbers for attrition. The one for staying out of Chapter 11 was about 30 per month. The one for Chapter 11 was much more.

So we've lost 570 pilots since BK? Highly doubt that. Even in the past 3 weeks, there wouldn't be enough spots in classes at other airlines if 470 of the 570 decided to get out of aviation altogether.

Planned attrition is 22 a month.
