I loved to pick up open time before. I won't touch it with people on the street.
Sadly, some pilot's lick their chops to pick up open time. It doesn't matter if we have guys on the street or not.

From my understanding, they canceled the voluntary furloughs and now are only going to have 7 involuntary furloughs. Issue is, a lot of those that took the voluntary furloughs, have already found better jobs. The company doesn't understand this when they announced a reduction to 7 voluntary furloughs. Furthermore they are offering premium pay as they are short staffed.

Finally, heard that once the Chapter 11 process if finalized, they are going to move HQ back to MSP and change everything back to the Mesaba name.
That was the plan way back when too. The original plan was to split the jets and turboprops. Jets would go under Pinnacle's operating certificate and the Mesaba Saabs would go under the Colgan Operating certificate... to save money on having to put the Q400s on the Mesaba operating certificate... They were going to operate under the Mesaba name on the Colgan certificate. That dates back to just after Pinnacle bought Mesaba.

They are rescinding many of the involuntary furloughs, but that isn't to say that they won't have to furlough anyone in December. It all depends on what happens.

The other side is that Delta signed a TA, and in that TA they require a reduction in the number of 50 seat RJ's from the current 311 to maximum of 125.

The delta TA is what will be the nail in 9E's coffin. Even If they receive some of the 76 seaters delta (TA) is going to get, it won't make up for the number of 50 seaters lost. I have to think the 76 seaters will be spread among ComAir, ASA, and 9E. This doesn't leave to many to go around but who knows.

Absolutely true everywhere. But the scum that picks up while people on furlough, from experience, doesn't even show or know about places like APC, because they know that what they are doing is the WRONG THING.

Or it could be a blessing in disguise.... with Delta as the DIP, if 9E defaults on the loans (which they will if they loose a lot of the 200s) then Delta takes ownership of 9E. That means they wouldn't fall under the auspices of the TA because the wording is for "subsidiaries". As a wholly owned subsidiary they can circumvent the current wording in the TA.

It's always amusing the people that think they can read legalese who actually have no ability to comprehend it...
