Some regionals will take you at 50 multi, if you look for them and interview really well. I think I need to emphasize one of the previous posts: leave the SIC time off. While it may have been fun for you, it doesn't impress anyone. In fact, it raises red flags. Be careful, and get that 75 multi ASAP.

Which regionals do you think would dip below the 100 multi?

I am confident that I can interview well, as I have for internships in the past.

I realize internships and flying jobs are two very different worlds, but past interviews have gone well and resulted in job offers.

I have family members involved with the hiring at one of the majors as well, so I plan to get some advice/coaching from them.

In regards to the Citation gig, I still fly the right seat. Unfourtunately the owner is an older gentleman who doesn't travel much. There is one other right seat guy, and we "split" time. I fly the majority of the trips, as he is a CFI and has trouble being away for 2-3 days at a time. I began flying with the owner in November of 2004. That gives you some idea of how much we fly.

If I were offered a position as the captain (the current captain has plans to retire in about 1.5 years), I would accumulate hours at a painfully slow pace. My ultimate goal is is to get on with a major just about as quickly as I can, hopefully by the time I am 30 (I'm 23 now).

Per your recommendations, I will not add the 39 SIC to my resume. It has not been included in the past, but I was considering adding it.

You'll have to do the research on that. That's your job. Also, make sure you don't use those 39 hours on an 87-10. Don't know exactly what your situation is, but I've seen guys bust checkrides for stuff like that.

Not to hijack the thread, but what is the problem with the SIC, why does that look so bad?

It may not be. But 99% of the time, it's a 200 hour 18 y-o sitting right seat in the kingair 90 of the guy who owns the hangar he used to sweep. It's a single pilot plane and the PIC's not an MEI, so there's no real way he can log it.

hop in the king air, say you don't need a type rating, and be PIC and just be done w/ it....jk totally.

I guess you have a point...the only way the I see that it could be logged if it was a 135 op in the Kingair 90 which requires 2 pilot under IFR unless there is a approve autopilot which negates the 2 pilot rule...but I have heard of some companies opting out of the autopilot and using 2 pilots for insurance purposes.

the AC requires 2 crew members

do you have a ME rating and Inst Rating?

were you current for multi and inst. when you flew the citation?

you can log it as legal SIC, as you fit the requirements to act as SIC.

be prepared to answer questions about it, but it appears to be on the level. i'd add the SIC time to your multi TT, though. having 5multi and 39 SIC multi doesn't add up and will raise suspicions
