Grow up and make a big boy decision. You should have done your research on the companies before even taking the interview; knowing exactly what your getting into. Posting on APC, requesting help making life decisions? Seriously?

So... people need to do research on the companies they are applying for, but it's wrong to ask people for first hand accounts of what it is like to work at a particular airline? Make up you mind. There is NO better indication of what life is like at a particular company (not just airlines) than to ask the actual people there.

I'll agree, vague questions like "which one is best" or "which one should I choose" are not useful. However, if a 500 hour CFI comes here saying "Hey, I got a job at both AB and CD airlines. I live in ABC... which one offers a better chance of living in base or the easiest commute?" then I feel THAT is proper research. And guess what? He isn't even an airline pilot yet.

Why don't both of you go make "Elite Airline Pilot Club Forums" Access is only granted if you scan your employee card at a nationally recognized airline. The super secret forum is only accessible if you fly an aircraft with more than 66 seats (-700 first class need not apply).

Grow up...

Maybe they're looking for a little insight from people who work for the companies they are asking about?

If it's just a huge deal for you, don't read the threads.
