Ballistic Flight Case

Ballistic Flight Case
This has been discussed before, but it was several years ago... I searched and found some good info, but just making sure nothing (size of bag) has changed too much. The dimensions I saw were a little off from the deminsions I saw on the stopover store website.
Any CRJ guys/gals out there use the PNT Ultimate Balistic Flight Case 19" x 13" x 9"? If so, how does it fit?
From previous posts it was a tight fit, and got the hint not to put anything in the side pockets.
Anyone have this bag and can comment on how it fits, and how well they like it? I'm not concerned about the stickers or anything. Just something that "works good/lasts long time". Looking to upgrade as my current one is rather old and falling apart.
Thanks!!

I just had the hardware attaching the handle to the lid shear off on mine. If you look on the bottom of the lid you can open a little velcro flap. You'll see screws under there that hold the brackets to the lid. Keep those tight or the hardware will shear apart.
Other than that, it's not a terrible bag. I doubt it will last more than 3 years though.

I've had mine about five years. Carried it for a full four before we got flight kits on the aircraft. I carry it occasionally now when I got on the road for 5-6 days for extra space.
The body holds up well. My biggest gripe is the handle. Year two it broke off (not the sear that another poster described). The handle is made very weak. I had to do a total replacement of the hardware and even now, I have had to put electrical tape around the thing because your J hook will really put some stress on the weak handle.
Good case, bad handle. Its a coin flip on whether I'd recommend it. Good for the price I'd say (if they are still $150 ish).

I bought mine in 2004 and it has worked very well for me. It fits in the CRJ as long as you don't stuff the pockets. The only repair I had to do was sew the front pocket, which ripped at some point. I put black hockey tape on the handle because my j-hook was messing it up. They come with handle protectors now. I put a few patches on it for easy identification.
You won't find a bag that can carry more. Below is a list of what I carry in mine.
Bose headset in bag
Two slightly overstuffed 2" Jeppesen binders
One 1" Jeppesen binder
One full accordion style en route chart holder
One 1.5 L bottle of water
One 11" computer
Sunglasses
Misc magazines, folders, etc.
A pocket full of batteries, hand sanitizer, etc.
