I think that flying is pro rated, not on a CPA. Delta doesn't have problems with EMB145 leases. It's the CR200 leases they need out of. I'm certain they'll be CRJ900's because Bombardier needs a reason to free Delta from the CRJ200 leases.

Delta has options for the EMB175, not orders. It's pretty clear whomever wrote this article is not well informed. Sending E175' to Comair makes zero sense.

Unless you're trying to sell Comair.

Depends on how the aircraft are financed. Not all CRJs are financed through Bombardier and not all 145s are financed by Embraer. Also just because a bank in Canada holds the note, it doesn't mean a bank in Brazil can't pay that note, and take the aircraft (and vice versa). Embraer can take those 200s just as easy as Bombardier can and turn them into Bizjets or sent them to the razors. Just like when you take your two year old Ford and trade it for a Chevy. This is all about keeping people employed in Montreal and San Jose dos Campos. The governments of Brazil and Canada will force their national banks to do whatever is necessary to keep the production lines humming.

Who's to say delta pilots won't fly the new aircraft? Don't they have a payscale for crj-700/900?

The CRJ200's Delta leases are through Bombardier.
