All about Johnston & Murphy.. I have loafer type with tassels, but they have plenty of types without tassels. They are extremely comfortable. I'm an RJ guy and am out doing 4-6 leg days.. Never get uncomfortable. They are security friendly and are easy to get on and off in the cockpit if you wanna relax..
They have the comfort, the classic professional look, and they shine wonderfully. I have the ones that came with leather soles. They wear out quick, but I took them to a shoe repair place and for 30 bucks they put this high quality goodyear neolite rubber on the sole and heel. That rubber has lasted with zero wear for over a year. I second the Johnston Murphy's....I prefer classic patent leather shine. |
I have a pair of Clarks that work well.

Bostonian FlexLite.

I bought a cheap pair at Kohls for about $40. Going on 2 years and they are about falling apart. I don't even know what brand they are lol. They are security friendly, but I probably won't go that route again.
I'd go with any of these (at least from what people here have recommended) ---> Men's Pilot Shoes and Boots |
Deer Stags from the stopoverstore.com, $49

Can anyone recommend a black boot that is non laced?

The Ariat Roper is lace free. I love mine, and they are airport friendly.
