Okay. Let me clarify. I AGREE WITH YOU GUYS! I'm all about passenger comfort- especially now that I have to deal with the same passengers day to day. (My boss jokes that our salaries start at X and work their way down with each bad landing and bumpy flight)

I'm just saying that it's not uncommon for the CRJ (which is a very fast aircraft on final compared to other airliners) to still be clean (or only flaps 8/20) while still 4 miles from the runway, particularly if not headed straight in. As it applies to the original thread, I don't think that this event even merited being mentioned, let alone a new article....
