Interesting to note in the past a certain "pilot" suddenly appeared on the AA threads trumpeting the undefendable to AA pilots and was roundly jeered. The same situation not surprisingly materializes on the Eagle side when a TA arrives (imagine that ) and what a difference.

Clearly, he's reeling in several of the clueless and gullible quite easily this time. A sucker born every minute.............

Then again, considering how the Eagle pilot group as a whole has sat around for the last couple of years while their future was hijacked by a corrupt fiefdom, it doesn't surprise me to see some of the clueless and gullible in action. It would be nice if those that are not wallowing in fear like Ryan successfully send a message not only to management, but their own union leadership (a term used VERY loosely).

Sad, a once great pilot group has sank to this level.

Your carefully qualified generalizations undermine any credibility you bring to the discussion. You are very meticulous in referring to a "few" or "some" or "several" and then end with a complete generalization about "a once great pilot group". Guess what? The folks voting in favor of this are sprinkled throughout our ranks (even some from your exalted generation).
I have tried to reason with many of the yes votes and explain my thinking. Most are just scared. Fear and greed are powerful emotions and management is fully aware of it. I don't claim to know much and I certainly try not to appear condescending when discussing the issues. I suggest refraining from alienating people to your ideas by making such broad and derogatory comments.

+1 Ryan P
OUTSTANDING interpretation!
They took 30% from the employees at AMR ten years ago to remain outside of bankruptcy. 10 years of "kicking the can" and they are asking for 20% more and ARE currently bankrupt!

I'm more then aware of the demographics of the impending ratification of your TA. Actually, implying every Eagle pilot thought or acted in a specific way would undermine my credibility far more then allowing for realistic differences among the group and using terms like "few", "some" or "several". Clearly, you can't differentiate the reason I don't make sweeping generalizations, therefore IMO it is you that has questionable credibility.

I guess we're on even ground with each other, yes ?

Most are indeed scared, but that is primarily because they haven't learned from the past or have been willing to. History is about to repeat itself at Eagle for the last time and if my identification of that is too painful for you to accept, I suggest refraining from reading my comments. What is about to occur doesn't HAVE to occur, but will likely occur because of free choice and the election by the group as a whole to become complicit in accepting that fear. My bet says the TA will pass by 65-70% or even more and all because no one has stepped up to defend themselves from their own hijacked union or the fear they are using against you.

Again, my condolences in advance.

Seasonal Vacancy

In a seasonal vacancy, does the company still provide a hotel and per diem. The language is a bit vague in section 15.

I just got back from a four day trip and just read Ryan's post. BRAVO!!

Damn, man. That post needs to be copied, printed, and dropped into every cockpit in our fleet.
