Question Number of pilots per RJ?

Hello all,

I am wondering how many pilots per CRJ-200 an airline like SkyWest has?

If you have the number for the CRJ-900 that would be nice as well.

Thanks for any help!

5.5 Crews per plane is typical.

Most airlines staff around 5 per seat.

Typically 2. I'm pretty sure there aren't any RJs that are single pilot certified nor are there any with a flight engineer. Sometimes 3 if you're getting a line check or something.

I hope this is very dry sarcasm...

Then that equates to the average DCI FO being a 6 year student pilot. Then I'm one hell of a student pilot.

All over the board and not anywhere near what a regional is. The most "efficient" (cheap) regionals can go as low sometime 8.5-9 pilots per plane. But the average is as stated, 10-11, or 5-5.5 crews on average.

Mainline/legacy is TOTALLY different. Partly due to better work rules, but more so for the wide body/int'l requirements for augmented creed, etc.

If you were to ask 80kts how many pilots are on say the Airbus at DAL, then the 777 or 744, the ratios are probably not the same.
