Default Colgan Gets Q400

Just got the word from mike colgan that they just signed the deal with continental Airlines for us to fly the Q400 down in houston... Who knows what is going to happen next. Not sure how many we are going to get, but I hear that they have alot of flying for us.

You would think an announcement like that would make the news.

...I think that would rock...I know the whole Saab 2000 rumor has been around for a while - cuz my bud used to work there...but I would much more prefer the Q400. Cheaper to maintain, much more quiet (hense the name), beefier aircraft...all around a much better option.

But that's just me...I have been a Dash guy ever since I can remember...

And the Q400 is approved by the FAA for operations in the US whereas the Saab 2000 is not.

You must be very close with Mike Colgan for him to be sharing such hush-hush info with a company pilot. Must be nice to have such a close and personal relationship with one of the companies upper manangement.

It is approved for operations in the US. Read through the the Data Sheet here or search for "Saab 2000" on the FAA's site here.

On a side note, what is current Colgan upgrade time? I saw on flameinfo it was just over 2 years. Is that true? Anyone at Colgan know?
