G7 growing again?
There are very strong rumors that G7 is getting ready to grow again. Class sizes have increased from 8 to 32-40, the company has advertised additional openings for sim instructors, check airmen, and SOC staff, and management has been dropping strong hints and winks in recurrent classes. There is a rumor floating around that 10 used CRJ7s are coming from Europe.. possibly from Lufthansa. Nobody knows who they'll be flown for. Does anyone have any additional details?

Looks like going there would've been a great career move.
Haters gonna hate. |

I guess in the end it will be SkyWest, Republic, and Gojet.

Yeah right. |
Something is up. Going from a planned class of 8 and turning it to 40-50 means more flying. I've heard every rumor in the book (900's, American flying etc).

What does that even mean? You actually think my post meant that Lufthansa will be flying for US Airways rather than G7? Or am I missing some humor here?

Maybe the turnover rate is high
|

The rumor on the street is that Go Jerks went to US Airways and said that they wanted PSA's 700's. Because they could operate them for cheaper.
We know that this has some value because PSA's management has openly suggested during contract negotiations to scrap PSA's 401k plan in order to be competitive with Go Jerks and keep the 700's. Negotiation ploy? Most likely. Would i put it past Go Jer.......s? No! |

From what I've heard they are having no problem filling classes. Upgrade as soon as you have the time. Junior Capt is Apr 2012 hire. I don't think there is any other regional within 2 years of that.

For better or for worse, most of these guys and gals are ex-Comair folks.
Honestly 8+ years at a company to start all over on food stamp wages at a place that has the one of the worst if not the worst contracts in an industry segment full of horrific contracts. The room is full of fat ugly chicks (regional industry), why go pick the fattest, ugliest, and loudest one around? |

I don't understand why any ex-Comair person would ever go to GoJetzzzz or any other regional for that matter. The guys left there were all Captains at one point and must have thousands of hours of total time and at least a decent amount of turbine PIC. There have got to be some corporate jobs or maybe Spirit or something else out there.

Many of these FOs that are going to GoJet have the time to upgrade almost immediately. |

Unfortunately I doubt it, the pilot group would more than likely take even further cuts in pay and bennes in order to continue to lower the bar.

It bit them pretty hard.... they might not be that smart but they still do need a job.
Too bad none of us are as smart as you are. |

Saddle up, it's GoJetsssssssss time. |
