Default Colgan Interview

hey guys, got the call today from Colgan to schedule an interview. This is my very first airline interview experience, so I'm wondering how you guys who are currently flying for regionals would recommend preparing? Especially Colgan guys who either work there or have interviewed with them in the past. I've heard they have a difficult written test, what is good to study for that? Any other tips? I'm really nervous as like I said I have no experience in the matter. Thanks for the help!

Talking

best advice is don't go, you will end up leaving in a year anyway.

Just wanted to say good luck in the interview! Hope to be applying at Colgan myself here soon. From what I've seen and read and from talking with pilots, they are a good company to go to.

PM=Private Message

In the upper right hand corner, there is an underlined "Private Messages" link. You can send or receive once you've posted 25 times on this board.

I interviewed at Colgan back in February. The written isn't a big deal. Study the ATP written study guide. Don't study the ones that require a calculator or refer you to a figure. If you check out www.aviationinterviews.com you'll find a whole bunch of folks who have posted their interview experiences. Good luck to you if it is what you want to do.

No, it was Colgan pilots who told me it was good there and that I should do it. When I worked line part time during my flight training I came to know some Colgan guys (who for the most part have upgraded or moved on) and they said they were having a blast flying the Beech. (Although I saw them frustrated due to mx as well. )

well once you get the thrill of wearing the unifom and "being" an airline pilot, u will realize that you should be paid for ALL of the hours you flew and that airplanes w/ 9 MEL,s just isn't fun. I also gaurentee that 6 legs a day to the same 3 airports gets really really old. and most of the guys that leave colgan jump to another regional. North American & Miami air are not major airlines!
