36.845% chance. If one does hit that magic lotto, the company would be well served to not ask such elite aviators to step to down to that dinky 170. In fact, 170 drivers generally address 190 guys as 'sir' and stand at full salute, or may opt for standing against the wall and staring sheepishly at the floor as a 190 driver passes. 190 members signify their positions in the exclusive club by wearing their epaulets upside-down. The percentage listed above is increased though if you have an aviation degree from purdue and were a member of a collegiate precision flying team. Also, if you look like the guy in the picture a few posts above, you automatically become a 190 captain. His mom is very proud of him.

Or, you could get a job at JetBlue and fly 'the beast' making about 3x's more $. Just an idea...:D

In fact, you can. I used a similar process to get a waiver to fly the F-16 based on my 6,000 hours of fly-by-wire experience in the Airbus.
