850 pilots in a year? How high on the list do you have to be to be a captain? Are there any Florida bases?
A lot higher than 850 from bottom and no. Currently junior CA is around the 1800-1900 mark out of a little over 3300

You're making it seem worse than it actually is because that (incorrect) 3300 number includes the Frontier pilots which have nothing to do with Republic's upgrade time. There are only 2855 pilots on the list with about 720 pilots that are on the Frontier side.

Absolutely not sir! Everyone knows that in 5+ years when the fence comes down, all of those prima donna, entitled F9 FOs will swarm over to the legacy RAH certificates for a quick upgrade. Hundreds of Airbus right seaters will take our rightful E145 or Q400 upgrades. All because some out of touch arbitrator decided to not value the traditional career progression of this industry. I'm so spitting mad about this, I might interview at Pinnacle.

None of the F9 pilots are going to go to RAH for a quick upgrade. Why would they want a pay cut? This fence will be a non factor before 5+ years. So if you are interested in going to RAH subtract 750 pilots from the list. Your upgrade will be sooner than the 3000+ pilots.

Well that makes me feel good going into an interview tommorow.

Step 1 for your interview prep should be to apply to Skywest, Compass, or even Eagle.

If you're stuck at RAH just know that our operational performance has been abysmal for the Q-400. In typical fashion the company signed the deal with no plan in place to make it work. They immediately and illegally recalled 190 pilots to the Q-400 without a bid. The training manager quit within a few weeks (she'd been here for quite a few years).

I saw a recent news article discussing our Q-400 problems I think it was out of Steamboat Springs. If I recall correctly, this company has sent people home from class at least twice since I've been here and I think its actually happened three times, so don't quit your other job until the last possible point and try to leave on amicable terms (a fine balance to strike).

As of today they are hiring for all certs and equipment. CMH and IND are junior if I remember correctly. They say most going into the Q are getting lines out of training. The people were very nice.

If anyone at RAH had to guess, how soon could the pilots realistically get a new contract? I was called for an interview this spring and I am curious where things stand. Thanks.
