I hope you're right and that those Airbii don't end up at RAH or any other regional. However, history does not support your argument.
I'd be willing to bet that when you remove labor costs, flying 2 E75s costs just about the same as flying one S80 over the same stage length. About the same number of seats, both premium and economy. Frequency is a bonus. Plus, frequency is not so much the gold nugget it used to be. Fuel is much more expensive. CASM is much lower with a larger airplane because of that. With extreme capacity discipline being implemented, we are seeing less frequency and larger aircraft in many markets. |

Oh ya they get heavy penalties and will join PNCL in CH11! I dont know why anyone would go here with a 6 year upgrade and $23/hr first year and mid-high 20s every year after for years, with no CX pay protection! Go to Skywest you idiots. Calling people idiots doing their due diligence in pursuing a career in flying is not idiotic at all. |

Don't they have a 5yr training contract for the E-Jets?

Training contracts are dropped on the -145 and Q. Still in place for the -170.

I used to think they were going to cleve off the CHQ certificate, but since the 190 flying has dried up I wouldn't be surprised if it was the Republic certificate. Amazingly, Shuttle may be the last man standing after RAH completes their restructuring. The only reason for the duplicate certificates are the legacy scope restrictions and those restrictions are rapidly disappearing. |

Amazingly, Shuttle may be the last man standing after RAH completes their restructuring. The only reason for the duplicate certificates are the legacy scope restrictions and those restrictions are rapidly disappearing. And the 190 operation is a small fraction of the fleet. If you ignore the 190s, ignore the Q400, the Republic certificate is still the biggest by a good margin. In any event, I may be biased, but no way Shuttle is the last brand to survive at Republic Holdings. Oh, and the CHQ restructuring is largely complete. There is no separation taking place, nor was that part of the plan. |
