I bet they put the 175s over 5 years at the current AMR Eagle and then bid out all the other flying to other airlines who have extra 50 seaters. They get a good exchange rate on these things with EMJ while trading in all the EMJs we have now. Just a guess, but it matches the planned 210ish planes planned to be at current Eagle, and the price of 50 seat feed is going to a good deal going forward.

I hope you pointed out their error and corrected them on who they truly work for? That's just as bad as the FedEx feeder Caravan pilots who tell people that they fly for FedEx.

MEMbrain, does it matter. Here you are again boasting bout your Fedex status. I'm tired of you mainline/major box carrier pukes talking bout how much better you are than us regional guys. Believe me if there was some movement I would have been there years ago. I would take one of those Beech 1900 guys in the cockpit in hell or high water over you guys if my life depended on it any day. This is reality, regionals are going to provide half of the domestic flying for years to come. You can't pay a mainline FO 36,000 a year at the top of the pay scale. At a regional you can and your airline stays competitive. Until this so-called shortage kicks in full boar, this is the way it is. It's life, it sucks, be happy you have a good job, and don't talk down to people.

Truthfully I'm embarrassed to say who I work for and most people don't understand anyway. It's been hell trying to get a mainline job the last ten years if you haven't noticed. So let the kids lie a little bit. It doesn't hurt anybody unless there acting like asses. And your not a better person or pilot because you work for a mainline. Just remember that.
