Nothing has changed for us.

Someone else will just get richer.

All part of the plan.

The Most Influential Airlines Of 2013

Pinnacle Airlines will be the focus of the U.S. regional airline industry in 2013. Operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection since April 2012, Pinnacle's reorganization will have a major bearing on the future of rivals SkyWest Inc. and Republic Airways, which are both anticipating a sharp reduction in Pinnacle's operations. It is likely that Pinnacle will bear the brunt of partner Delta Air Lines' planned cuts in regional jet requirements, and the carrier has already shed its contracts with other major airlines. There may still be a future for Pinnacle if its pilots agree to an extensive concessions package, although the likelihood is that the carrier will become another victim of consolidation.

I'm blocking out the obvious?

If John Spanky Spangers is your CEO, you are being run by someone else.

This has been Deltas circus from the beginning.

Published December 17, 2012 which means it was written in late Nov or earlier Dec before the TA was published, announcements about flow were made and the possibility of Delta owning Pinnacle was made public. This situation unfolds by the hour.

I have watched the roadshows online. The union is trying to sell this TA to save the senior pilots jobs. The FOs that will be furloughed get only a 3000 longevity bonus while senior pilots get 24k. Yes they get 3 months pay, medical and pass travel but it still sucks. Even the union says this deal sucks but its the best they could do.

Having been to multiple road shows in the past, I have to agree with the above. The MEC in the past has bent over backwards to sell ice to Eskimos when it comes to TAs. The did the same with TA1 a couple of years ago even when everyone except for the top 10% knew it was crap. Sure they're under new management, but I'm sure not much has changed. It's bad for business if the union approves a TA, sends it to the pilots for a vote, but then tells you it's not a good deal.

And you have to look at more than just hourly pay rates when it comes to FO and FA pay. After the end on next year, FOs will be lucky to break 80 hours a month. Thanks to the revolving door and lack of FAA mins, there actually is a lot more earning potential for a topped out FA than a topped out FO.

I know right? I also heard there was this guy who used to work at pinnacle, but can't let it go.

The article is essentially correct. Delta taking possession of Pinnacle was a mere formality of what has been the reality since April. Once Delta gets a pilot contract in place with a long term agreement, and straightens out the mess created by Phil and the boys, the company will be sold so Delta can recoup its investment, likely to another holding company. Hence a victim of consolidation.

A FA with 6 years seniority will make more than an FO on first year pay. After year 1 FO's will make more than any FA on property. You guys are making a big issue out of something that has been happening for a long time. Compare the starting pay that at some of the majors compared to senior FA's. The No voters are grasping at strings here to try and sway votes to closing PCL down. At least they are trying to use facts they just are giving pilots a small glimpse of the big picture.
