You have to do what is necessary to protect your jobs and your family's well-being. Not what some regional FO puke thinks you should do.

Professional piloting will survive, but these are the ebbs and flows of our chosen profession. You won't hurt it by voting in a crappy concessionary deal. We ruined that by relaxing scoped for huge raises that weren't sustainable in the market post-911.

Good luck to you all. Only you can choose your path.

And you other guys right seat captaining this decision; LAY OFF. You are in for a rude awakening.
Nicely said. Good luck Pinnacle, sorry you guys have to deal with this.

Couldn't agree with you more, I just wish those jerk offs would say what they really mean = ( hey pinnacle pilots, us 4 year FO's here at xpress jet/skypest would really really really like to upgrade however we don't see that happening in the near future unless pinnacle goes out of business and we get to absorb your flying.. We understand thousands will be unemployed but I will get my quick upgrade so why don't you take one for the team?? ). You guys need to stop lecturing a bunch of grown a$$ men on how they should vote, which will effect their livelihood... We did not ask for this, but its what we have been given..

Haha get a clue dude. Some of us don't have another regional in our future. Who cares what happens to another airline.

I think you can hurt the profession with a crappy concessionary contract and scope relief is a concession.

Works for Delta management.

This is very true. I am not sure about everyone but I am sure there are plenty of us that will be done with the regional airline side of aviation. I for one have no plans to join another regional. I do not have the time to join airlines like Spirit, Jet blue, Allegiant or any other LCC or Major. I will go fly King Air's or find something else before I jump to another regional and sit another 10 years for an upgrade. I voted Yes because I hope that the Flow Interview does work and that a bunch of guys senior to me leave. I am also actively looking to get out and hope I can take an ELOA.

In my opinion I think that if we vote no we will be shut down because Delta has shown they do not like when airlines stand up to them. I do not think we will be shut down if we vote this in. (at least any higher chance of all the other regionals) We have a lot of our work rules still in place. If we vote No and they shut us down it will still hurt everyone. They will tell all of the others to get cheaper or they will pull all future flying from them. I know the big argument from the other regional pilots is that they fly for other carriers so they do not have to worry about Delta shutting them down. All I can say is so did we. Just change the names of what gets pulled make it Delta planes are pulled from carrier XYZ and now you cut off the bottom of your list and magically you have a seniority problem like we have. It can snow ball very fast. Remember it does not matter how much cash is in the bank, companies declare bankruptcy when they have a cash flow problem. I wish everyone the best of luck.
