Here we go again with that. DL was already at the point of shutting us down until this deal was crafted. They may not care about us personally but that doesnt make them stupid. They are not going to spend north of $100 million to keep us alive offer us jobs in a signed contract, give us cash payments and buy ATPs for F/Os that get furloughed and give them 2 yrs pass benefits only to shut the place down in a years time. If they wanted this place shut down, thats what would have happened. They were already to that point!

Yeah, because they didn't spend what? one billion dollars on Comair only to eventually shut them down, or sell ASA at a loss to Skywest.

That is an apples to oranges comparison. First, Comair and ASA were purchased for different reasons and by different management. Comair and ASA were bought because they were considered valuable. Second, DL is not buying us because they want to own us. They are the de facto owners because they are the only source of money that we have. Pinnacle is flat broke, hence, ch. 11. You also have to look at the time frame between those purchases and ASA being sold and Comair being shut down. Im not saying Pinnacle will have an indefinite future. I am saying DL wont be shutting us down in a year.

Do you think they bought them knowing they were going to loose? I think they wanted to making money with them and maybe they just failed. How long did Delta own each airline? Did both airlines run at a loss the whole time Delta owned them? I do not know what the financials of those airlines but I am guessing they made money at some point while they were owned by Delta.

Have you guys no respect? A MAINLINE guy came all the way from the Majors section to us lowly Regional scumbags to bestow all of his wisdom. I'm so embarrassed to be associated with you people.
Please kind sir - I apologize. Go ahead and teach us all you know!
Also - do you have any of those "United Against Outsourcing" stickers laying around? I sure would like a couple.

I like how DMEarc states he simply just applied at CAL and they called, lol. We all know it doesn't work like that buddy. I also don't appreciate him calling all of us "regional FO Pukes", really? The term Puke, I assume is a military jargon for someone beneath you, but it just makes me cringe everytime I hear it. Bottom line is DMEArc went from Colgan to CAL in 3 years, and I find it a tad but hypocritical that he bashes some for giving their opinion, yet he makes his own thread based of his opinion
Anyway, I agree with most of what he said, but the whole "from a United mainliner" was extremely tacky and douchey.
