If Delta doesn't hire in 2013 and closes down Pinnacle in 2014, why would they care? Why not just require a pulse? They will have their contract and succeeded in keeping a bunch of pilots from jumping ship. Hope I am wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me.

The better question is, "what can I do about it" ?

... and it isn't my manifesto. It is a simple paraphrasing of the governing documents for our union.

I heard they are grandfathered in. IOW as long as you are on the Pinnacle property on the date of the deal, you get to flow regardless of what happens to Pinnacle in the future, or whenever Delta hires again.

I don't "work" for delta. Even though my plane is owned by Delta/NWA since it came from the factory, my company is run/owned by Delta. Your distaste for my supposed leg up to get an interview at Delta is not my problem. I'll have to wait for 4 consecutive years of hiring at Delta for my seniority number to be come up under the SSP. I've been here 13 years at this company. This SSP is a carrot and nothing else. You're wasting your energy being hyper-focused on it.

Are you one of "the rest"?

Someone earlier posted the quote that Delta only hires "the best" and now with this vault letter, they will be hiring "the rest".

Naw I have a four year degree meet all the requirements to be hired by Delta. But no way in hell am I waiting for their supposed charity interview. My first mistake was waiting for the Flow-thru then they took that career choice out by the knees. Could of been out of this mess a long time ago. I've applied to every airline that isn't a subcontractor and can't wait to get out of this regional black hole.

Why did you wait to flow the first time?
