This is exactly why playing "jumpseat wars" is dangerous. Before long, management catches on to the game, and then you have to worry about more jumpseating privileges.

I work for AWAC, but we don't have a no GoJet jumpseat policy that i'm aware of and I'm sure FedEx doesn't either.

I can't say I would deny anyone a jumpseat, but not letting me on is really damaging what little sympathy I have for them.

AMEN! There are other ways home.

Why would you even try? Take a little longer walk and go over to the AA terminal. At least then you would have some dignity.

Gotta disagree with you there, Josh. This is why playing "jumpseat wars", and not being unified, is dangerious. Unfortunately there are some carriers out there that just want to forget about this and let them ride. All that does is hurt the carriers that are unified against gojet. Because the gojet guys are still able to get to work on the weak carriers. My only hope is that a bunch of these guys will miss their commute and get fired for missing an assignment.

its your call hippies,
either let everyone jumpseat everywhere and watch the bar slowly become lower and lower
or take a stand, tell someone no and prevent alterego, union bustin companies from ever happening

aviation is the only industry where people give free rides to work to other people undercutting their pay. you dont see teamster truckers picking up illegal immigrants and giving them a rife to their job do you?

Dignity... wtf? I was trying to go home and could get there sooner on United.

Get a life

That's too bad. You would think that those guys would be trying like hell to make friends... it's like being the fat girl at the dance. She better have a great personality and some good backseat skills..

There are a few CAs at ZW that rely on GoJet for their commute...but there are PLENTY MORE that would love to tell a GoJetter to absolutely stuff it if they asked for a jumpseat.

As an FO I have no authority for denying a jumpseat, but if we did have a GoJet pilot on our jumpseat (are they even CASS?) I would make it a miserable experience for them. They would earn that ride by looking me in the eyes and explaining to me why THEY chose to work for GoJet when dozens of other carriers were hiring, why its okay for them to have a job at the expense of my friends that got furloughed, and what they think about being an active participant in Hulas' whipsaw of TSA ALPA.

Then when we got to the destination, I'd tell them to have a nice day.
