Employee Referral Bonus Program

"AE Employee: Recommend a friend for a pilot position currently posted for American Eagle Airlines. Upon successful completion of training, you will receive a $500 bonus."

American and American Eagle employees can earn an extra $500 simply for referring qualified Pilots to American Eagle. The American Eagle People Department has reintroduced the Employee Referral Program for all active American and American Eagle employees on U.S. payroll. Upon successful completion of their training, the $500 is yours.

What are the minimum qualifications?
  • Commercial Pilot Certification with multi-engine and instrument ratings
  • Total fixed wing flight time of 1500 hours
  • 500 Cross Country Flight time
  • 250 hours PIC
  • 100 hours of Cross Country as PIC
  • 100 hours of Night Flying
  • 75 hours of Instrument Time (actual or simulated: 50 hours must be in airplanes)
  • 25 hours of Night time PIC
  • Multi-engine fixed wing flight time of 50 hours
  • Current FAA First Class Medical
  • IFR Currency
  • FCC License
  • Valid passport
  • Must finish ATP Written prior to the start of any new hire training with American Eagle Airlines
  • Minimum age is 23 years

I posted this as another illustration of how Eagle is not making their hiring quota!
But as flying is being handed to other carriers we continue to hire as we park airplanes. They say we will re-fleet, they say we will have mass attrition but we just hear it and don't see. We have been waiting for good news for a long time.
