I ask again, where did you hear this? That the company will park airplanes temporarily? You really think that with the 1,500 hr rule, even if they do the proposed 1000 and 750 exemptions, the 20 a month for the 824 and the other airlines hiring as projected that they will be able to park airplanes "temporarily". If the airplanes go to the desert, sadly I don't think we will be able to get them back in property again due to staffing. Shrinking and then trying to grow in this environment is very hard. Ask Mesa and TSA. THe displacements and people shuffling will create a huge mess again, we are almost done with the bubble of FOQ, LAX and ATR, the ORD CRJ will likely take care of it self for the most part.

There you have it.
Consider the source (a known tree of rotten apples).

The "metering" aspect isn't really a major issue for 2013 for Eagle. First street/824 hires are expected in the 2nd August class at the earliest. That would make 8 classes for the rest of the year (usually not a holiday class at end of December). At 25/class or 50/month that would be 25 824's per month or only 5 more than minimum. AA says 200 "new hires" projected this year once the recall list to include numbered flows is thru, so that jibes. Your MEC needs to push a lot of smokescreen B.S. right now on the flying mushrooms there, so look for a lot of fluffed up cotton candy to distract your efforts at booting them before they can give management their gold bar of PBS. The AQP is another oversell with unknown language for the same reason.

These clowns have played you guys like this successfully before and it's one more time for the sweet souvenir (Bill the Butcher) again. Keep your eye on the ball.

My source at Eagle says they sent out the AQP LOA yesterday for all to see and read.

I agree, their leaders are not to be trusted, and should have been removed long ago. This highlights how corrupt ALPA is from the top down for allowing these guys to remain in office. That crap doesn't fly over here, and there'd be mass lynchings if that type of stealing member money happened here. The APA ain't perfect, but we don't tolerate thieves.

I don't have to currently work at Eagle for info there (23 years was enough). Plenty of "sources" there to fill me in. I wouldn't divulge them to you anyway, not that it would matter. Nothing I tell you would sink in as you still think my name is "joey". My post was a statement for all, but I used your post as a reference for the info, not as a specific answer to you alone.

Now........you're free to return to your one-man cyber clown act.

Yes, it's a tenative LOA that requires a final vote. The language does exist, but isn't a done deal yet and plenty of time for delay or alteration (don't forget who is sitting down to discuss and vote on it). Then, once implimented, who knows if it will live up to what they are trumpeting it as. My point was just that this MEC is handing out candy to the kids (again) with the expectation they'll be too distracted liking their all-day suckers to push a mass recall through before the 'opportune moment' (Captain Jack Sparrow).

DR especially is in damage control mode to save his cushy lifestyle. Eagle management needs these guys too as no one (not even the old Texas Mafia) showered them with gifts like these idiots. IMO, these latest "announcements" are a team effort with a specific purpose. They're also blatently violating the reserve turn back rules in the new contract under the subterfuge of a disagreement of interpretation (company inserting preferred intent where it doesn't contractually exist) and the MEC has instructed the kids to fly and grieve (the legal requirement) so things will stay stable and the companies desires will be met. But, we all know how that works out and especially at Eagle, those affected can expect squat in return at the grievance hearing in 18 months........that's if the MEC doesn't agree to trade that for something else before then (something they most likely already contractually have anyway). It's the same old song from the same old band playing again there and it appears that many will once again get up to shake their booty's and gig in denial it's the same song as before. This party goes on in perpituity as long as these pilots refuse to accept this from their leadership and so far, no one has really put their foot down yet. By the time that happens it will have been way too late anyway.

Saw this coming years ago and that's why the flow to AA was a no-brainer. It's almost getting too painful to watch and hear and the info I get almost daily makes me wince more with every revelation. The situation there for the pilots reminds me of a mix of the hysterical insanity of Afghanistan and the cloistered domination of North Korea (complete with meglomaniacal dictator). But, the dance goes on and once an "open" PBS scheduling plan is in place, it's Mesa time in both pay and scheduling quality. I don't care how shiny that CRJ-900 or even E-175 is, that world just ain't worth it.......to me anyway.

So, let's get this straight, with AE parking aircraft they still are looking to hire 600 pilots a year? Can someone explain this? (without getting in a fight guys please)
