Default Regional's in negotiations

How many regionals are in negotiations? I ask this because I believe this could be a great win (and the first one in a long time) for us. (yes, I know Comair's and other's struggles.) Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Mesa, of course ASA, and Pinnacle are all in negot. These are the 3 lowest paid operators...I know PNCl guys will not settle for a sub standard contract...ASA and Pinnacle are in mediation...Who else is in negotiations? If these 3 stand their ground, it could go a long way toward turning around the regional backbiting.

well i dont think ASA has much to fall back on since there losing alot of their planes and routes to skywest, does anyone know how they plan on intergrating them yet. it seems like there not even gonna be stapled to the bottom of skywest, instead skywest is just slowly taking from one side and adding to the other

Integrating the two lists between ASA and SkyWest would be really really difficult right now considering one is ALPA and one is non-union. If SkyWest's union drive is succesful then it'll become a bigger possibility. On another note directed more at the original post, TSA is in negotiations.

GoJet is also negotiating a contract that will make them an industry leader in pay, QOL, etc. CHQ has their contract up in October 2007 and I THINK they are already negotiating stuff???

GoJet rocks!!!

Some regional airlines MEC's have met recently, so perhaps there is some talk of bringing everyone up at the same time. If ever there was a time, it is now, with almost every major player in negotiations or about to be in the next year. But like almost every fare increase attempted, there is always one player who tried to profit off of the group mentality and reverses course at the last minute. Someone will give up the line in order to make the future more secure and prosperous.
Oh, and unfortunately we are talking not about regionals as a whole, but ALPA, Teamsters, and non- union pilot groups seeing eye to eye. Too many ideas and ideologies to fit into one mold. There is no lack of heart or will at any particular group, but the leadership is just not there. Sorry.

Yes, the contract is up next year, but negotiations have not started yet. Next May is the earliest it can happen.
