Hiring for Rupublic AE E175s?
 
Could anyone answer a few questions for me?
- What's the latest situation regarding hiring for the new American flying at Republic?
- Is it going to be possible for a new hire to hold ORD on either the S5 or RW certificates?
- How long will it be to hold a line?
- Is there much attrition?
- With the extra 47 aircraft coming online, how likely is it that upgrade times are really going to drop?

Appreciate any answers anyone might be able to give?

Care about the base, not the airframe. Republic pays the same across the board despite what airplane you're assigned on, so unless the plan is to grab that 170 PIC type rating and run overseas, I don't see any real reason to want the big bird as opposed to the small one you're already on.

All good questions, but I'd also like to know where the contract situation stands at RAH as well.

I've heard a rumor that RAH cant fill their clases now.

No, we can't fill all our Q classes, but unfortunately people are showing up for the EMB classes. The contract talks are not happening right now and we haven't a clue as to when they may start up.

If you can get hired elsewhere, go there instead.

I don't wish ill will on the RAH pilots, but if there is pressure put on RAH management to treat their pilots better-well I hope filling classes is difficult until things get better. Good luck on getting a contract!

With regard to the last class not showing. How do you think united will feel when they realize they won't get all the q400 operation they're paying for ever up and running, and instead republic is hiring for Americans flying? I see bad news in republics future

Wonder if UA regrets not stepping up and helping Colgan. They didn't have any problems.
