Nothing like a good "contractual" I'm a Lawyer ****ing contest to kill a thread.

If Mesa can get the hiring for these would they not be the best option..."cheap" "lean" "ALPA" and broke(at least they want you to think that) . Just thought I'd throw that name in the SJS Mix.

Anyone know what the operating cost efficiency of the E175s is over the older gen CRJ/ERJ on a per seat basis? It just sounds like the capital cost would eat in to it and then some, since it's not like these older aircraft are DC9-10s compared to a CRJ in fuel costs, etc....

For you guys dwelling on the first right of refusal at Legacy XJT. There is ZERO...... NADA... Zip. That was Continental. All bets are off after the merger. Just dial the MEC Chairman up and see if he gives you a yes or no answer.... LOL...... It's a joke. That is dial up the XJT Mec Chairman....... ask him for your answer in stone. Then let the mass sick bank burning begin.

I think the only people dwelling on it are the people hoping XJT's Erj side suffers in some way. How is that shorting Skywest stock at 6 bucks a share working out? Don't mix emotion with business. Skywest didn't buy xjt to see us disappear. Shrink? Sure but the same will be said about every regional in the next few years.

Notice how BH stated that they are not "slated" to come to Xjt....I think that's a don't get yr hopes up but not a definite no...maybe it's just me. But I think they'll go to Skywest with a reduction of 50s....just my prediction...based on maybe BH talked with Skw inc high ups and they told him they're going to Skw already...

Still it's good to see growth somewhere...some of our fellow aviators will benefit greatly atleast..

Default So let me get this straight...

United is buying Republic/Chautauqua/Shuttle...30 E175's AMR is buying Republic/Chautauqua/Shuttle 47 E175's so....Republic/Chautauqua/Shuttle are getting 77 new airplanes from two major legacy carriers and expected to find roughly 740 NEW pilots at 9.6 pilots per aircraft....aaaand keep and retain these additional pilots to add to their seniority list in addition to the guys/gals they already have even though they haven't had a contract since 2007? Keeping in mind of course AA has offered recall to all furloughed pilots Airways, United/Continental are hiring, 1500 hour rule hits in August and Jan 4th, 2014 new Flight Time, Duty time rules take effect...ABSOLUTELYOUTF!@KINGSTANDING! This next year is gonna be fun to watch.

Amr didn't buy rah anything. Rah purchased those aircraft. According to bb, rah is not in the running for the united 175s.
