Default 121 time

I had 121 time and got the EMB. However, this was back in june at the start of this hirring mess. Seems like to many people are scared of the EMB. It's a cool plane and will make you a much better pilot for flying it.

EMB Disadvantage: More work and less money than RJ.

EMB Advantage: Rapid Upgrade (You won't make much more than an equivalent RJ FO, but you will get the PIC).

No seat lock for upgrades, right? But I guess there's probably not that many RJ FO's going to EMB CA.

Correct, and also correct that not many are doing it...attempting to upgrade into an airplane you have never flown is going to be Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, at best.

Default RJ fo toEMB ca

I had two trips in a row with new EMB CA's that had never flown the airplane. Both had spent most of there time in ORD. They both said the same " The EMB is more work for less pay". The other thing One said to me was it was hard to go back to a GA type of flying. Things like turing the runway lights on, uncontrolled airports, going off one to get the WX. The bottom line is, unless your close to a upgrade, there is no reason not to go fly the jet at your one year mark. Less work, more pay, easier plane to fly. I hate to be a EBM sellout, however, sign me up for the RJ.
