What I did was to make one transfer entry for each page. If a page had more than one airplane type then I'd make one entry for each type on that page.

This let me quickly enter all of my previous time and it was in a form that was searchable for filling out the details on applications.

Next I would go back and expand each entry out to one entry per flight. I do this one page at a time by deleting the single transfer entry and replacing it with the individual entries from that page. Since it would only take a couple of minutes per page it was easy to sit down and do a few pages when I had some free time. Eventually, you have the entire logbook entered with full detail.

I went back and built my e-logbook with Log 10 Pro line by line. I was on a project in a hotel room so I made my goal a years worth of flights per day. Put in 4000+ hours worth of flying that way. Very tedious, but now I've got it all and I'm glad that I invested the time to do it. Would't want to do that again though!!!

I just carried in all my time from my previous logbooks as if my electronic one was a new logbook. One line for Single engine, and one line for multi-engine.

It will if you have the Mac version. If you have the iOS version you can send your files to cs and they will import them for you. Usually takes a couple days but they are pretty meticulous about getting everything converted properly.

Yup, I did the exact same thing.

Does it keep track of your 117 limits?

Does anyone know how to look up tail numbers by pairing? At my airline (ZW), I was able to track down all of my pairings with a lot of help from flight records department. However, I don't have the N-numbers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm slowly getting caught up with my electronic logbook (1.5 years behind now).

I am logging my flights by day, but if I can get a record of the specific planes I flew I'm planning on breaking it down by tail number/leg.

I'm open to any input/critique on this technique.

Flight Aware keeps track of all flights for a given airplane for life but only post the data for the last seven days maybe if you get in contact with them they can give you that information. Had this issue at Awac and just decided to put planes in to fill the spaces.

Any suggestions on how to print a logbook and get it professionally bound? Ive seen the ones for sale online, but i think it looks cheesy and the ring binder would make it a little awkward to read.
