Correct. A good start would be to find a way to tour the larger flight schools and educate the starry eyed CFI's and students. It would be a tough sell to someone like ATP who is in bed with Repubic though.

They need to know that the E170 is just the scent that attracts the prey to the glue trap. That and a pre tax $5,000 bribe!

Hope you guys keep the movement going.

One thing management doesn't want are united pilot groups. Ditching ALPA Teamsters or whatever and forming your own just for Regionals, with one list and one contract is long overdue.

I know there are plenty of die hard ALPA flag wavers on here, but ask yourself these questions.

Why are after all these years of ALPA representation are regional pilots still on poverty wages?

Why does an experienced pilot have to start again on year one pay at the bottom of the seniority list at another APLA carrier, after his original ALPA carrier furloughed?

Why does ALPA endorse cuts and concessions whenever Delta comes with its cap in hand?

WHY THE HELL DO WE KEEP GIVING 2% OF OUR ALREADY PATHETIC PAYCHECKS TO THESE PEOPLE?

Its time to rethink representation. No more conflict of interest. No more caving to intimidation from the legacies. No more partying on our dime, and no more using that B.S. propaganda ALPA magazine to light my BBQ!

As someone eluded to earlier...think of the stickers! ALPA fights for the working man- the stickers prove it!

I'd gladly forgo the magazine and occasional free lunch if they would reduce my dues by $50/year. You won't find a lanyard or sticker anywhere near me.

I hope when push comes to shove, they at least use name-brand lube on my BH. I feel that my dues should allow for that at the minimum.

Make sure everyone shows your support for PSA pilots in their upcoming vote on their concessionary contract. The TA bullet points are posted at www.stopthewhipsaw.com

They need to know this is not the time to lower the bar in this industry. We are not interns.

What happens with no merger? New contract sticks, PSA?

1% yearly pay increases until 2023?! 10 years?! Looks like someone's trying to lock it in before the pilot shortage hits them in the face.

Here's the thing..."Whipsaw" is nothing more than "competition". Until you solve the problem of "competing" within a brand, all the stickers in the world won't change reality.

The only way to change this is with "brand scope" negotiated at the mainline level...Which isn't likely to happen because that would require them to use negotiating capital for other pilots. In addition, the mainline pilots actually get negotiating "credit" at the table for helping to lower the cost of regional feed...Dirty little ALPA secret that they don't want you to know.

ASA and CMR pilots fought this battle with the PID and then RJDC over a decade ago.....and lost.

Management can't make money managing the company so they come to labor for their profits.

Stop the Whipsaw!

Unless the PSA pilots vote this down, the race to the bottom will continue

Don't let the stickers fool you, this is about changing the way regional pilots negotiate and encouraging them to stand up for themselves. Stickers bring awareness, then it is up to us all individually to make changes in this industry. There are many things we can discuss as we move forward but the pressing issue is stopping the whipsaw as it is being played today. The current airline we are focused on is PSA where their union is asking their pilots to vote in concessions for absolutely no reason. You don't ask a pilot group for paycuts for bigger aircraft. We have to stop falling for the same trick over and over again because we have a short term memory. The late 90s saw airlines using Jets as leverage when the jets were coming all along. Flying will be replaced whether we accept paycuts or hold out for fair pay.
