I have the Aerocoast Pro EFB+Cooler and that works just fine, the cooler itself has a lot of pockets and storage areas. It also fits inside the kitbag spot while the extra EFB bag fits the Ipad+Mount+case for my Telex headset in it as well. The EFB bag doesnt fit inside the kitbag spot with the cooler but fits well down beside your seat where your headset jacks are. I also agree with the others, I can not afford to eat out every day of a trip nor is it even remotely healthy if I try.

Default Thank you avi8tor4life for the input

I am amazed at the amount of ludicrous responses this post generated. Just a fellow airline pilot looking for a way to minimize the amount of luggage I carry with me and help cut down on the unhealthy high cost and over abundant frequency of terrible airport food I consume. Is the fact that I or my fellow pilots only wish to carry two pieces of luggage with me and double up my EFB and food storage requirements that disconcerting to some of you? That instead of offering meaningful insight you take this as an opportunity to exude belligerence and derogatory comments to further degrade your credibility and make an attempt to knock down your fellow peers? One can only assume that your ostentatious displays of animosity towards your fellow crew members on an internet web forum make up for some sort of self-soothing psychotherapy to account for the rampant self-loathing behavior and disappointment in your own life. If this is the only outlet for your angry aggressive emotions well I hope the therapy has been most helpful and I wish you the best in health and goodwill.

Thank you again avi8tor4life and everyone else who offered their recommendations.

Is there some unwritten rule that the smaller your airplane, the more stuff you need to bring with you on a trip? Twice that if you're an FA?
did you think that most RJ FO's and FA's can't afford to buy expensive airport food and eat out every meal on a 4 day trip on $25,000/year?

The rule isnt the smaller the airplane the more stuff, its the smaller the PAYCHECK the more you bring. Close though, and now you can see the correlation with smaller airplanes. I make about $500 a week including per diem. If I ate out 3 times a day, call it $6-7 a meal in an airport thats $20 bucks a day, $80 per 4 day or $100 for a 5-day TDY. I dont know, I personally would rather not spend 20% of my income so I can have quick food while I work. Lugging around a big-ole bag of food filled with stuff from a grocery store probably costs me $20 for 4 days. I rarely ever eat-out while on a trip. Sometimes I feel like I am camping, just in a hotel room or crew lounge instead of a forest.

And I agree, all food bags should be able to carry at least part of your cockpit accessories. Its the modern flight bag to me. Food, IPAD, newspaper or such, headseat, sunglasses, flashlight, etc.

I agree. I'm a mainline pilot, & I bring my own food. It's not about money. It's about health. Airport food is loaded with garbage. I have to watch my cholesterol, blood pressure, weight, and overall health. I see pilots walking around the airport with guts so big, I pray they fly an Airbus. Because if they get an EGPWS maneuver I'm not sure their gut will stay out of the yokes way! I'm not about to go out on medical because some people think carrying a cooler around looks stupid. I really don't care.

I used to have the Aerocoast, but the liner isn't water proof so for now I switched to a Target special that has a removable hard liner. But I too am looking for something else. I really liked the Aerocoast because it had the laptop case attached. If I find something with a sealed liner that also has a laptop case, I'll share it here.

Kinda curious about this myself too, anyone have anymore recommendations for bags? I have the eBags Crew Cooler and another small bag for headset and such, just looking to consolidate to one bag.
