I hear ya, I stopped myself from making the purchase. I saw it this way, everything I have is android, so if I bought an ipad it would be just work, and that would be like giving the company 600.00. So I guess it's back to carrying my heavy lude flight bag. Damn. But I'm happy I convinced myself not to buy it.

Can't believe they don't supply it.
Our co. supplied them simply based on the fuel saving, not to mention all of the company propaganda they can push out via email.

They gave some BS reason when we cited the fuel savings. Something about AA pays for the fuel and Eagle wouldnt see any savings so none to pass along to the pilots.

Yeah, complete rip off. I swore I'd be the last, but now I'm feeling like the old guy, without one
I still carry around my 40lbs of paper!

With the way we are treated around here this POS company is lucky we still even show up to work on a regular basis. I have an iPad which is perfectly capable but under no circumstances will it will be used for their benefit.

LOL, this is the most ludicrous thinking. "Ill show the company that I won't participate on the electronic flight bag."

Keep wasting your time doing those revisions. BTW how was Rev 5?

Rev 5 was 2 pages in the airport directory, it took me a minute at cruise. I also have an iPad that I could use for the program but I refuse to buy the mount and battery.

As a side note, I wonder what the implications are if something happens related during the flight and you are using your own personal Ipad as an EFB. Does the company now have the right to subpoena/take your personal tablet for investigative purposes?
