I still would have more concerns about the company somehow making a claim that they have the right to access your personal tablet if heaven forbid something goes wrong while your using it on duty. Since the software is essentially purchased and owned by eagle. I don't think its an issue if you use the ipad solely as an EFB and have no personal data on it.

I don't know anyone at Horizon so I can neither confirm nor deny, but if it's true than I am wrong. However, you've come up with one regional airline, and I came up with another that allows them but doesn't provide them. No others that I am aware of even allow them. So I guess we are both wrong to a point.
Look at it this way: You have an iPad already. The company allows its use but you must provide an approved mount and battery. Said equipment will run you around $150. May I ask you what the average price is that people spend on a kitbag? That was my choice, new kitbag, or equipment that allows me to use my iPad and no longer have to deal with filing revisions or worry about being current. Same cost, one has distinct advantages over the other. It's a no brainer. I wouldn't be proving anything to the company or anyone else by continuing to use paper.

I guess if your personal ipad breaks you go back to charts. Lol

I don't understand this argument either. What personal data do you have on your iPad that you are worried about your company seeing? They already have your name, address, phone number, social security number, birth date, and banking information (you do have direct deposit, right?) Unless you are doing something that you shouldn't be doing anyway, what information could be on your iPad that you would worry about your company seeing? If they would like to see pictures of my kids or how many Angry Birds levels I have finished, they can have at it. What use is that stuff to them?

As to the argument that Mesa has the program but doesn't provide it. I'm glad we're now comparing ourselves to Mesa and using that as a positive comparison in your favor. I know Eagle is a bottom of the barrel regional now, but I figured we were at least slightly better than Mesa still.

This way they're being forced to continue both subscriptions.

Now you're deflecting. I never made any comparisons between Eagle and Mesa. You stated that many airlines provide them to pilots and Eagle is one of the few that does not. I simply stated that the only other regional out there that even allows iPads is Mesa, and the program is voluntary. You stated that Horizon provides them to pilots. I am admitting I was wrong and didn't know that. The simple fact is that SkyWest, Expressjet, ASA, Compass, TSA, Republic, GoJets, PSA, Endeavor, Piedmont, Commutair, or any other regional I may have missed, do not provide NOR allow the the use of iPads. What is so hard to understand about that?
