Is it really 117? The 1st quarter is always slow for the airlines and as they draw down flights because of the low travel season productivity will suffer.

How do your schedules look when compared to January 2013?

XJT FO. 92hrs and 18 days off in December. 72 hrs and 18 days off in February. Went from Day trips to 4 days as that's all they build since they can't handle the excess duty periods. Complete crap. Productivity is way down and going to get worse.

117 blows... Went from 17 or 18 days off with 88 to 99 hours credit before the government came up with this nonsense, to 11 or 12 days off with 80 to 82 hours for January and February.

Dec vs. Feb, I went from 18 to 16 days off. I'm in top 10% in base, bid the highest credit, with lowest line value, ignoring commutability. Jan was even worse, but I'm going to chalk that up to the typical January drawdown.

Trips SUUUUUUCK now in comparison to pre-117

It's all a means by ALPA to get more pilots on property. They have pushed for this to up their dues money. So those at the top make less while more new hires come on board to pay dues.

I went from 11 days off to 19 days off. But I'm guessing an involuntary downgrade had more to do with this than FAR 117

About the same. 14 off or so average pre-117, 13 now so far, but commutability improved giving me more hard days at home. Schedules are lower credit for this time of year anyway. So far, so good.

And... I'm nowhere near as exhausted as I was before. I never knew how tired I was until 117 kicked in. Getting more than 6hrs of sleep a night? Wow! Bye-bye 8hr overnights. I'll take it!

117 really isn't too bad if effectively implemented, but if your company doesn't want to play ball, you'll take the hit.

Hard to tell, I usually have ground school or PC or both in February. I was able to pass on it this year. I think I had 13-14 off last year? 2012 I had a kid so that schedule was all out of whack too. We'll see if how March looks in a day or two.

I went from holding 18 days off with 85 hour lines to 14 days off with 100+ credit hour lines. Some of that is 117 and some is staffing issues. All in all, quite a change for me.
