Are you in a white collar job right now dealing with the public?

Edit - never mind - I see the later post where you are working on a drilling crew.
Well....from some of the roughnecks type of operations that I've seen and known some of the people working in that section of the industry I'm not surprised.

rickair - I think ShyGuy is talking about flying with the CA who ran naked through the woods with the FA.

Two different guys. One from Colgan in TX and the other from 9E in NH.

I've flown with M.M on several occasions. I like him. He is a nice guy. If you knew the whole story, you would know exactly why its innocent until proven guilty. He is a bit of an odd guy, but I'd fly with him anyday.

If I recall correctly both were arrested. I doubt they were able to report for their flight on time the next day at MDT. If a flight cancels for them being arrested IMO that's grounds for termination. Willful negligence led to their arrest. This CA and FA crew was entirely separate from the CA with the kiddie porn issue.

The article is dated May 2007. That was before I was at 9E. Once I was at that airline I flew with him on several occasions. That I can confirm, I knew the guy, even had his cell phone number. Because this kiddie porn thing was 2007 and I flew with him well after that, I assume he never went to prison.

There are few absolutes in life, and even fewer on the internet but I can say with absolute certainty that I would not fly with a known pedophile, convicted or otherwise. I have small kids. I'd just as soon kill someone like that as look at them.
I didn't know anything about this until browsing this thread. He seemed like an okay guy to me (isn't that what all neighbors say about serial killers though LOL). I have a small kid too and wouldn't take too nicely to pedophiles. I just don't know the specifics of what exactly the police found. The article clearly mentioned they took his laptop. Regardless of the character of the person who led the police to his hotel room, the evidence on a laptop can be used to prosecute. I assume the charges were dismissed so that could very well mean it was something else that was legal (midget porn?).

So was it midget porn? That could explain what hotel guests saw.

I'm working on getting on with a DOD contractor for now. I'm on the cusp of having competitive time for a major, if I can get another 2-300 TT.

I was hired here as a BE20/B06 pilot (King Air 90 & 200, Jetranger) due to my quals in both. Of course, one corporate merger and BAM! Out of a job and took a job as an engineer to keep the lights on and stay not homeless.

Currently selling my house in a high cost of living area (WY) so that regionals can be a realistic option.

Of course, if you know anyone who will hire me and pay enough so I don't end up homeless via foreclosure, I'm all ears.

As I got off the elevator there stood Lonnie in a ninja type outfit doing karate poses in the hallway. I still can't shake that image from my mind 15 years later.

Well if he kept his job and didn't go to jail odds are good that it was all a mistake. The system mostly works.
