The Regionals are NOT desperate
#21
One reason high time pilots may be getting turned down by the regionals is that many who have been out of the industry for some reason are hoping to get hired on at a regional, get current, then immediately leave for a better job. This has been a problem at my company lately... FOs quitting after 6 months to go to other airlines.

When you're getting squeezed such as the situation with the regional airlines you just chalk it up to a failed business model. I for one could care less if they go out of business tomorrow, just let me know what day is the yard sale. I can use some furniture for the new den.
