Does the latest TA still have 4 year pay freezes across the board in it?

N927EV 03-13-2014 07:29 AM

Yes. Beginning in 2015 they freeze at year 8 and then they cap FO pay off year by year til 2019 when it freezes at year 4 pay. So, it's throwing the pilots who aren't on property under the bus.

Okay so pay doesn't freeze at current rate for the next 4 years? Just curious because several eagles guys I talked to said this TA would immediately freeze everyone.

It was never "across the board" CA is capped at 12. FO will be capped at 4 in 2019.

it gradually kicks in. Technically it won't affect anyone on property now. Which is why they did it, to lure in more yes voters...Anyone who is hired past 2016 will be capped at year 4.

Its for the people who want this crap to get voted in, but want to be able to say I didn't vote for it. The cowards who can't stand up for themselves. I hope this fails big time.

samballs 03-13-2014 08:12 AM

You yes voters are *****s. This contract is not needed, its parker being greedy. I can only hope yes voters get a thorough medical this yr.

PilotJ3 03-13-2014 08:29 AM

Voted no at 10:30am

Flying Ninja 03-13-2014 08:30 AM

Hahahaha...they want to cap FO pay at year 4? Yeah...that ought to increase the attraction factor for this career path.

tbjav8r 03-13-2014 08:40 AM

The lazy will vote yes. Too lazy to go through the process to interview. Too lazy to lose a few pounds to appear presentable. Too lazy to prepare and study.
They can keep their flow. It's smoke and mirrors. I'll go get my own job.
Until then, SHOW ME THE MONEY.

Actually it does affect the guys already on property that were hired in 2011 or later. The scale reduces by 1 year each year, so the highest pay rate you could reach depends on your date of hire.

2011 hires will reach the 7 year cap
2012 hires will reach the 6 year cap
2013 hires will reach the 5 year cap
2014 hires will be capped at 4 years

Keep in mind these scales will be not be adjusted annually for inflation. The contract lasts for 10 years. The average price of gasoline 10 years ago was $1.88.

My pay is already a running joke in my family, if this passes it may be time to look for other opportunities.

seattlepilot 03-13-2014 09:49 AM

Eagle TA- What did you vote?

the rah contract that is being showed on our throat is better than this. 4 year cap on FO pay, we lived through that many years and it sucks. stand together and vote this down , brothers and sisters

Here's an idea. How about using the facts to educate people on your position instead of insulting people.

As part of the 83% of XJT HELL NO voters, I gotta say I am a bit underwhelmed by the "unity" and the number of no votes so far. I hope this poll and thread is not very representative of the attitudes over there at Eagle... Because from what I have seen and heard, that TA is worse than the garbage we sent back!

Me too. If this poll is anywhere near accurate, it's kind of disappointing how many people aren't even voting.

cubbies4life 03-13-2014 02:57 PM

i chose didn't vote so the results would post when I open the thread, I'm not at eagle. you can subtract one of those votes

driver61 03-13-2014 03:09 PM

Need to change poll to didn't vote / not eligible

ChickHicks 03-13-2014 03:22 PM

I really don't think this poll will be very accurate. Too many NO voters on this forum. Which is why I am here. Voted NO at 4 something this afternoon. :) FU Pedro!

You're right, this is hardly a scientific poll. The internet has more "no" than "yes" voters as a rule. Not to mention there are plenty of other airline employees who could theoretically vote in this poll.

8ballfreight 03-13-2014 03:56 PM

Peter Paul and Mary, just click "view poll results"

it then opens a new window and I have to do it every time I open the thread. I'm lazy

Every day, and I look at myself with no regrets. Im not willing to sell others out. Especially like those that are sr. At this company, who just want this to pass so they can finish here and screw everyone else.

Chris99 03-13-2014 06:42 PM

Wow, I can't believe there are so many "yes" and "did not vote" votes. I hope this is not representative of reality. My hope for the industry just died a little (especially after reading all the optimistic threads about pilots finally starting to have some bargaining power...).

buddies8 03-13-2014 07:23 PM

First you are talking about eagle pilots, be surprised.
Second who says all those voted on the thread are eagle pilots?

You have got to be kidding me. P.S. looks like this is gonna pass. Way too much chest thumping compared to actual votes. I'm not picking on Eagle pilots---- the problem is everywhere.

Freeflyfreak 03-13-2014 08:26 PM

I predict a 70%+ NO vote
