Wow, who knew that LM was running Delta airlines! I missed that part. Management decides on who they merge with not ALPA or any other union. Management also controls the seniority list and decides who goes on that list unless you have a specific contractual item. That point is forgotten over and over again or never really understood. Some pilots actually think their union or another union could simply decide to integrate another airline into their list. It simply does not work that way.

Never said Lee was running Delta airlines did I smart guy? What I said is Lee could have gone to bat for 400 ALPA brothers but decided it might hurt his Delta brothers a little so he didn't. We were owned by Northwest at the time. Or did that part slip your mind? I get my info from people that were there, not from Star magazine like you! How about researching facts before you bloviate about something you really have no knowledge about?

Northwest owned 47% of Midwest Air Partners (TPG owned 53%), the partnership that owned Midwest Airlines. In second quarter of 2008 (about the time of the Delta merger announcement), NWA completely wrote off their investment in MAP, effectively washing their hands of their minority ownership stake. The Delta/NWA merger didn't close for another 6 months after that.

Wow 4 pages of BS and the vote hasn't even closed yet!

I don't think NW ever owned Midwest. They had a minority ownership stake that was written off around the merger if not before. There was no way management faced already with a surplus of pilots and other employees would have even considered throwing more employees and pilots into that mix. They also might have had to assume Midwest obligations at that point. There is no way ALPA or LM could have ever talked the company into that. I guess you just want someone to blame.

Also no ballot. Many reports of pilots receiving TWO ballots in the mail. One with their name and one with another pilot's.

You don't even need a ballot to vote. You can vote online or over the phone. Ballotpoint is an incredibly effective and proven company. The fact that you haven't received a paper ballot is meaningless, you have multiple methods of casting a ballot.

You need your voting credentials that are mailed however. Numerous people have received other pilot's voting credentials. Ballot point has royally effed this process up. I haven't received anything yet and it has been over a week. I have made phone calls and written emails. With 8 days left, I'm very nervous I won't be able to vote.

Multiple union emails about this as well as a posting on the local 357 website. The contact phone number and/or email address along with instructions to receive replacement credentials via either US mail, email or text are there. Turn around time about two days once your request made.

Please vote.

I just received by ballot today and voted - be patient, I guess...
