I'm very proud of my group today. We're not asking for FedEx. We're simply asking for the gap to be closed a little, a livable wage for our professional First Officers, pay protection (after all if we come to work we deserve to be paid), and respect for seniority.

And to think those guys have been looking down their noses at me for years when I walk through the F Terminal in CLT and look away when I smile and say hello. I'm with Xjet guy. I'm not so sure they're going to be welcome in my jump seat any longer. And I am a Captain.

Congratulation Republic Pilot Group! You had the spine and courage to tell management what you are worth. Congrats on the unity and congrats for not settling in.
As far as your CEO is concerned; people call him the Reverend. I assume because he has a religious tone. I am willing to bet its all an act. Time will tell.
Unity, knowing ones' worth and diligence are the best weapon towards being taken advantage of.

Those FO rates were no better than Comair rates from 2004 and that's not even taking inflation into account. That TA was nothing but smoke and mirrors you don't need a 9 year FO pay scale how about a 3 year FO pay scale that tops out at $50? Or a flat rate of $45/hr? If that cuts into the margins TOO BAD. The major partners need to be put on notice the price of feed just went up.
