Travel etiquette for interview

Heading to my first interview next week and have a few questions about travel.

Its space available is it common to get bumped ?

Is a jacket and tie the norm for travel ?

Anything else I should know ?

Thanks

This was the deal for American Eagle, last year:

Dress business casual at a minimum. Sneakers, Jeans, uncollared shirts were expressly verboten.

Shirt and tie may not hurt.

business casual, and act as though the interviewers are watching you from the time you arrive at the airport, to the time you arrive back home after the interview.

You can never overdress for an interview, however, don't wear a tuxedo. :)

People are watching.... assuming it is a good company. Casual business is good. Nice shirt, slacks, tie is not necessary. Pass on the alcohol. If there is a meal, tell the FA that you will pass until the crew gets a meal (some companies do not give the crew meals, they have to wait until all the pax are served). I did that every time I jumpseated. It may not get you hired, but it is a courtesy that the crew will remember.

In short, you are a guest. Be nice and nondescript.

Good luck.

I wore my suit during travel to all of my interviews. You look professional during travel and its easier to wear the suit and keep it nice rather then pack it. And I agree, interview begins when you enter the airport.

You're overthinking this. Just show up on time. No jeans.

wear this and your good to go…the job is practically yours

I wore flip flops and shorts to my interview. The president of flight ops happened to be on my flight. I still got the job but thought I was done for. Definitely will be dressing up for future flights to interviews.

What Zivko said wear your interview suit... Best way to insure you will have it when you get there and it will be clean. Just my opinion
