I see what you mean.
Since I did everything I could to pay and Key Bank didn't care that I promised them that I would not default and asked them not to send it to collection... once they did do it it was simply out of my hands.
So I guess that last sentence was my rationalization to address my feelings of guilt that I DO (did?) have over it.

I can't imagine NOT owning up to it. I would never lie or be elusive in an interview- or in any other situation.

I believe you have to give someone permission to obtain a copy of your credit report. I have never been asked for such permission on any job I've applied too.

I think it matters for things like law enforcement but I've never heard of it for the airlines.

I also think there are laws preventing discrimination against people who filed for bankruptcy. Hell, the airlines file chapter 11 any chance they get!

Your credit is your business. I wouldn't sweat it.

So I re-read my post... And I still don't see the attitude you saw in my post.

You must have a problem with my "attitude" of not being happy about the fact that the $24,000 of payments I made over three years reduced my loan amount by only $3,000?

Also, I always answered Key Bank's calls to touch base with them, tell them I was doing everything I could to pay- and that I would pay- and to ask them not to send it to collection. They always told me that there was no indication that it was going to collection. Seems like a good illustration of my bad and irresponsible attitude, no?

I do hope that you had fun posting.

"For the record, in the bailout of 2008 Key Bank got 14 million dollars of our tax money..."

Just want to quote this before you edit that post as well.

Gotta be the best post on APC

If there is any legal action taken, it would be public record.

Really?! Am I really sneaky? Changing my posts and "making you look bad"?

I added the following to my post: "Also, I always answered Key Bank's calls to touch base with them, tell them I was doing everything I could to pay- and that I would pay- and to ask them not to send it to collection. You and your post had nothing to do with my change. I made the change in response to the guy after you who. And it was not to "make you look bad" by changing what you responded to. That didn't even cross my mind.

If you think this is some big debate where egos are at stake and somebody is going to "win" and there is a record of "official statements" or something, well, I think you have mistaken this place for YouTube.

YouTube is THE place on the internet for attacking other people and keeping score to try and win the war of "who boosted their low self-esteem more".

I see by your comment

That you are one of those guys who is concerned about keeping score or some kind of record.

If everything in your life is a competition where you need to win you might want to get some counseling.

Or maybe you only keep score in anonymous forums?

Chillax my brother.

Preview before posting, the edited tag kills your interweb street cred bro. Just a pro tip.

Apparently you took my edit as some sneaky attempt to change the post that you had responded to somehow reflect badly on you?
That is not the case. But I can see why you saw it that way IF you have a history of arguing with people on internet forums.

I'm finding that no matter what internet forum you go to people are hanging around trying to "win" (or in this case, on the alert for edits that "change the record" and could impact their future ability to "win" in the event that it turns into some argument or something?)

I don't care about internet "street cred".

I posted to ask if regionals check credit ratings.
I'm here for information. Not for an ego boost.

Can you please post a tl;dr?

Unless you posted a good Mesa or fozjared joke there's NO WAY I'm going back and reading the last two posts.

I don't know what "tl;dr" is, but I just came back to the computer to post the realization I just had regarding your initial reply to my first post...

I've gotta give you credit.
You trolled me good.

I've seen trolls on youtube and other forums who try to get an emotional response out of people for fun, but since i don't have any experience on this forum I was naive enough to have an expectation of a superior level of communication on a forum where professional pilots are exchanging information with each other.

But I guess this happens on every internet forum.
I'm naive and I got trolled.

Well played.
